About Toni Nagy
Toni Nagy is a filmmaker that has written, edited, directed, and acted in hundreds of videos that have over 500 million views. Nagy is also a stand-up comic, and in 2017 won the “Best New Talent” award at the Broadway Comedy club in NYC.
Nagy’s short film Grey Story, that she wrote and directed, received an award of recognition at the Best Shorts festival. Nagy’s TV pilot script entittled One More Zero made her the GRAND PRIZE WINNER for the The Industry Next Women in Screenwriting contest. Her pilot of her sketch comedy entitled The Masses won an award for Best TV Pilot at the Top Shorts festival. The script was also one of the top 50 considered for the ISA Fast Track Fellowship Award and a semi-finalist for the 4th Annual Stage 32 TV Writing Contest. Nagy’s webseries/TV sizzle reel of her sketches, also entitled The Masses, is an award winner for Best Comedy Short at the Los Angeles Film Awards and a semi-finalist for Best Sketch Comedy at the Comedy World Network International Film Festival. Nagy has produced two feature length documentaries, Fish and Men, and Wrestling Ghosts.
Nagy was also a freelance writer for Salon, Alternet, Huffington Post, Hairpin, Thought Catalogue and more. She has her own blog tonibologna.com if you wanna read her writing. Nagy has her BA in philosophy and has been a political activist focusing on voting rights and political engagement since she graduated from Sarah Lawrence College.
